Divine Cherry Yogurt Snack Bars makes an absolutely delicious treat for an after playing snack for the kids!
Add a glass of organic whole milk or almond milk and you have foodie bliss!
Please note the little hands waiting ever so patiently for mom to take pictures of the delicious treat!
As with any recipe, ingredients are key!
Ingredients:
1 stick of organic butter (real butter and at room temp)
4 cups of organic oats
1/4 cup coconut sugar
3/4 cup of Divine Cocoa (trust me when I say it is nothing short of...well...DIVINE!)
1 container of Stonyfield's Blends in Vanilla (6 oz)
2/3 cup of Cherry Preserves (absolutely love Bonne Maman)
1 teaspoon of Cinnamon
The Recipe:
Put butter, oats, Divine Cocoa, Stonyfield's Blend container and cinnamon (if using) into your mixer bowl.
Mix until blended.
Depending on how thick you would like the bars spread a bottom layer - half of the batter.
(I used 8 inch pan, if you want thinner use larger pan)
Top with the cherry preserves (feel free to use a little more if desired)
Spread the second half of the batter on top of the cherry preserves.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
Let cool and then slice!
Enjoy!!
Like Divine Chocolate, these treats are absolutely Divine!
My notes:
Store in containers or you may freeze.
This is meant to be cooled and served at a ready-to-go treat.
However, I must say this recipe served hot with a small scoop of Stonyfield Frozen Yogurt is a treat not to be missed!
Use cookie cutters to make it fun! If you don't have any cute little ones, be sure to check your child's playdoh bin! There always seems to be some cut little ones in there.
I am absolutely thrilled with Divine Chocolate! They are fair-trade and empower women to succeed! Clean water, schools and helping farmers...as it should be.
Divine Chocolate is today a leading Fair Trade brand in the UK and a pioneer in the world of socially responsible enterprise. The success of Divine means that farmers have a secure source of Fair Trade income that continues to grow year on year. Kuapa Kokoo has invested its Fair Trade income in building schools, sinking wells for clean drinking water to villages, providing mobile medical clinics for farmers in remote growing regions, and fostering women’s income generation projects to help women earn additional income for their families when the cocoa season is over. The farmers' ownership stake in Divine Chocolate means that Kuapa Kokoo has a meaningful input into decisions about how Divine is produced and sold. In addition, Kuapa Kokoo receives a share in the profits from their ownership shares and in 2007 celebrated the first distribution of dividends from Divine in the UK. To further its mission and further increase benefits for cocoa farmers, Divine Chocolate launched a US company to expand into $13 billion American market. In 2006, Divine Chocolate Inc opened in Washington DC to bring fantastic Fair Trade chocolate to US consumers. The farmers of Kuapa Kokoo own one-third of Divine Chocolate in the US. Additional investment is provided by Divine Chocolate Ltd. in the UK, Lutheran World Relief, Oikocredit, and SERRV International.
