Today's post is sponsored by the fabulous Roland Peters and Small!

Rainy Day Book of Things to Make and Do by Catherine Woram should have the word FUN in the title!  I have seen many arts and craft books for kids through the years and I find most do not really have anything "extra" or are not put in a fun way that appeals to me (or quite frankly...some I find boring)

This book - Rainy Day Book of Things to Make and Do - I love!  It has absolutely loads of crafts that are fun and totally do-able for moms and kids.
I highly recommend.
The cover says 3-10...however I totally recommend ages 2 and up!
(the little ones need your help)

With every thing from paper crafts, sewing and nature crafts - this book has something for everyone!

We made lovely "growly" alligators! (my little one growls every time he sees...every time!)

The book has the Cheeky Alligator with googly eyes.  I do not have my massive craft bins for the summer, so we used paint instead and it was just as fun and alligators are adorable!

Instruction for crafts are easily explained with lots of pictures to show steps.  I am a very visual person, so this is quite important for me!

We are the worst about doing crafts with the kids. We have art supplies, but it seems to be such a mess. My kids mostly end up coloring and I often print coloring pages for them. My son is tape happy, too. He'll put tape on anything to make a creature or rocket or whatever is in his imagination that day.

We do a lot of painting & coloring! My daughter loves to finger paint. She enjoys crafts & I'm so glad!
