The New Weelicious Lunches Cookbook by Catherine McCord is on our weekend cooking and baking recipes this week!
Catherine McCord uses plain Organic Stonyfield Greek Yogurt in a variety of recipes. We have made the cucumber dip and the kids love it dipping their veggies in it!
Do not miss that one!
Some delicious recipes using Stonyfield Organic Yogurt!
- Carmelized Onion Dip
- Cucumber Dip
- Veg-wee Dip
- Zippy Yogurt Tahini Sauce
- Fruity Delight
- PB & J Yogurt Swirls
- Hubby's "Better Than Ice Cream"
In the beginning of the Weelicious cookbook - fun pictures of the fruit and insides! Helpful for moms that have not ventured to trying out new fruits.
We love eggplants and cannot wait to try these burgers out!
There are lots of recipe favorites moms grew up with - Grilled Cheese, PB&J, Soups, Fruit Bars and new ideas like lentil chili, falafel bean patties and whole-wheat cheddar crackers.
Check out Weelicious on Facebook for fun new ideas and recipes for your kid's lunches!
My Notes:
Weelicious is a great cookbook for moms in a bit of a slump, wondering what new or updated version lunch they can create for their child's lunch.
I like all the different veggie ideas and recipes.
I am surprised that quite a few recipes call for canola or vegetable oil - which I do
Not recommend.
Over 90% of Canola Oil is GMO (Genetically Engineered) and Canola Oil is partially hydrogenated oil as well, as-is vegetable oil. (there are too many articles on this to list)
Wonderful substitute oils to cook and bake with - Grapeseed Oil, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Sunflower Oil, Walnut Oil and Avocado Oil (this one is expensive though)
Giveaway details: Winner receives (1) copy of Weelicious Lunches by Catherine McCord and a variety of Stonyfield Organic Yogurt free coupons (valued at $30)!
