Dicing fresh fruit into small pieces and adding toothpicks always goes over well in my family - apples, pears, grapes, strawberries, peaches, plums and apricots work splendidly! Adding a simple peanut butter dip adds extra protein and nutrients as well as, make snack time fun.

Summer is in full swing, the kids are home and you may be running out of creative and healthy snack options. Or perhaps you are having so much fun playing you forget to shake it up a bit. Here are some basic, healthy and absolutely delicious snacks to brighten up your little one's afternoon snack after playing!
Pretzels & Chocolate Yogurt Dip
Pretzel sticks are perfect for dipping and adding a bit of melted 80% chocolate chunks to organic Greek yogurt can be the perfect sweet treat - without being too sweet.
- 1 cup of Organic Greek Yogurt
- 1 Tbs of cocoa
- 1 teas of Ceylon Cinnamon
Stir the Greek yogurt and cocoa together with plenty of pretzel sticks and / or fresh fruit!
Organic Greek Yogurt Peanut Butter Dip
- 2/3 cup of Organic Greek Yogurt (I use Stonyfield Organic Plain)
- 1/4 cup of creamy peanut butter
- (should have one ingredient - peanuts - avoid peanut butter full of added sugar & oil)
- 1 heaping teaspoon of Ceylon Cinnamon
Mix together well and place with the diced fruit. A healthy snack with no added sugar!
Floating Spiced Bananas
Slice a banana in a bowl. Add enough whole milk to come 3/4 to the top of the banana slices.
Sprinkle a bit of Ceylon cinnamon and a dash of nutmeg on top.
This is such a simple snack and kids love it!
Frozen Banana Ice Cream
Peel and cut into large chunks, four bananas.
Place on parchment paper and cover with a sheet of parchment, then place in freezer.
After about five hours they are frozen. Place frozen banana chunks into a blender with 1 tablespoon of cocoa and 1 teas of cinnamon.
And blend well.
Add ins: 1/2 of strawberries and/or 1/2 cup of organic vanilla yogurt
