Autumn Apple Berry Crumble!

Thank you for stopping by little island studios, please subscribe by email to follow along in family fun!

Oh my, I absolutely love autumn!  I have been making these crumbles several times a week!  Crumbles are perfect for breakfast, company and just plain after-school fun!  Crumbles are super easy and you can use the fruit you have, never be afraid to mix it up.  I used a mix of apples and frozen blackberries for this and it's truly amazing!  As always, ingredients matter!  I use organic ingredients, fruits, grass fed butter, non-irradiated spices and always, Non-GMO ingredients.

If desired you may warm up your peeled apple slices in your cinnamon before placing in your pie pan!
When I'm in a hurry, I do not heat.

Ingredients:

Apples or Pears - around 4
Blackberries, raspberries or a mix of your favorites - 10 oz (frozen is fine & probably easier)
Grass Fed / Organic Butter - 6 oz (plus a bit more for bottom of pan)
Ceylon Cinnamon - 3 heaping teas
Nutmeg - 2 teas
Coconut oil - 2 heaping tablespoons
1 1/2 cups of oat flour - gluten free & delicious
1 3/4 cups of oats - I use veganic oats
1/2 cup of brown sugar

Pull butter out of fridge 20 minutes before you start.
Mix flour, spices, coconut oil, butter and sugar into bowl - adding the oats last.
Slice & peel your apples (or pears) and place slices on bottom of buttered pie pan
Add 10 oz of frozen blackberries (or your berry mix)
Sprinkle the crumble mix on top.
Baking at 350 for about 15 minutes or until hot throughout.

Enjoy with coffee, frozen vanilla yogurt, regular yogurt or by itself and may I say - absolutely perfect for breakfast!

Kids love crumbles!

Crumbles do not last long at my house!

My Notes:

I use Frontier Spices, they are non-irradiated and no nasties.
To Your Health makes amazing sprouted oat flour
